Privacy Policy — Voice Recorder
Effective date: October 12, 2026 · Last updated: October 12, 2026
Summary
Voice Recorder ("Gravador de Voz" in Portuguese), an Android app, does not collect personal data. Recording, editing and MP3/WAV encoding happen on your device, and the app has no servers receiving or storing your audio. There are no accounts, ads or telemetry.
1. Who is responsible?
Controller: Diego Dias
Contact: contato@newlevel.com.br
2. What data is processed?
2.1. Data we DO NOT collect
- Your audio, which is never automatically sent off your device
- Contacts, location or advertising identifiers
- Your IP address or device identifiers
- Usage statistics, clicks or any other telemetry
2.2. What stays on your device
It stays in the app's internal storage and is not sent to any server:
- Your recordings, as one audio file per take
- Your projects and drafts, with each take's position, trims and effects
- Your preferences, such as language and audio settings
None of this leaves your device, unless you export or share a file, as described in section 4.
3. Microphone and permissions
The app asks for a single Android permission: RECORD_AUDIO, the microphone. It is requested when you record or re-record a take. Opening, listening to and exporting an already saved project does not require the microphone.
- The microphone is only used while the project is open and you are recording. Leaving the app or locking the device pauses capture; the app does not record in the background
- The app does not declare the internet permission: it cannot connect to servers
- You can revoke the microphone permission at any time in Android settings. Projects already saved remain available to open, play and export
4. Export and sharing
The app only sends a file off your device when you ask it to:
- Export: you choose the destination in Android's file picker, as MP3 or WAV
- Share: you choose the receiving app in Android's share menu, which is given temporary read access to the file
If you choose a cloud service or another app, it may receive the file at your request and handles it under its own policy. Voice Recorder does not upload anything automatically.
5. Retention and deletion
- Internal data: kept until you delete the project, clear the whole history, clear the app's data in Android settings, or uninstall it
- Editing: preserves each take's original audio. Deleting a project also removes its internal files
- Exported or shared files: stay at the destination you chose. Deleting a project in the app does not erase those copies; delete them at the destination itself
6. Your rights (LGPD)
Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018), you may:
- Access your data, which is entirely on your device and can be exported
- Correct any information, by editing directly in the app
- Delete everything, by removing projects, clearing the app's data or uninstalling it
- Revoke the microphone permission whenever you want, in Android settings
Because the data stays only on your device, the controller has no access to it. For questions about these rights, write to contato@newlevel.com.br.
7. Security and backup
- Files live in the app's private storage, isolated from other apps by Android
- Internal files are excluded from Android's automatic backup and from device-to-device transfer
- There is no cloud storage and no way to recover projects after uninstalling the app or clearing its data
- Whoever has access to the device and to exported files should protect them according to their needs
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app evolves. When that happens, the last-updated date at the top and bottom of this page changes with it.
